Idle Hands Be the Debbil’s Workshop

The Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in August of 1990 dropped advertising budgets nationwide down to pretty much zero for six months. So I’m standing around in a studio full of stuff and nothing to shoot (at least to pay for rent an’ such). Consequently I grabbed an ancient 14” Kodak Portrait lens we had and proceeded to torment it past its capacity to record a recognizable image. Close in with the camera and racked out to edge of it’s illumination circle I laid some small shiny objects on a piece of glass and hit it with a couple of hot lights and this was the result. Why would you do such a thing you ask? No idea…none whatsoever.
