Suzallo Library at the University of Washington

In the fall of 1971 I fell off a turnip truck (well, pushed actually) onto the Ave to begin my college years. This building was always incredible to me. I shot it in April of 2020-at the height of the covid madness. Infirm and ridden with disease at the time, I nevertheless was sick and tired of being trapped (like pretty much everyone else). With the help of my son, we schlepped the gear over to the campus to make us a pitcher. This was shot with a recently acquired 75mm Nikkor SW which I have come to really be impressed with. You give up a bit of field of view but that extra 1cm makes it so much easier on a field camera to work with than a 65mm.
